Invitation to Serve - Downtown Plan Advisory Committee
The Town of Bridgewater is seeking volunteers to participate on the newly established Downtown Plan Advisory Committee. The purpose of the this committee is to advise Town Council on the development and management of an implementation strategy for Bridgewater's Downtown & Waterfront Master Plan Final Report, which can be viewed at www.bridgewater.ca/downtownplan.
The Town is seeking four stakeholder organization representatives, two land and/or business owners in Bridgewater's downtown, and two residents of Bridgewater to serve on the Downtown Plan Advisory Committee for the next three years. Water Treatment Plant Roofing Repairs
LaHave River Flood Risk Study Released
On Monday, June 10, 2013, Dr. Tim Webster of the Applied Geomatics Research Group presented his recently completed report, entitled 'Integrated River and Coastal Hydrodynamic Flood Risk Mapping of the LaHave River Estuary and Town of Bridgewater', to Bridgewater Town Council. This report, which assesses the impact of several climate change scenarios along the LaHave River, will inform aspects of the Bridgewater's Municipal Climate Change Action Plan (MCCAP), which is currently being prepared by the Town. The Municipal Joint Services Board was created to administer municipal services under a cost-sharing arrangement between the Municipality of hte District of Lunenburg/Town of Bridgewater/Town of Mahone Bay. The JSB is seeeking an experienced, hands-on qualified Accountant on apart-time basis to oversee all accounting/finance functions for the Board.
2013/14 Approved Budget & Tax Rates

Final Downtown Plan Approved In Principle
On Monday, April 15, Ekistics presented the Final Downtown & Waterfront Master Plan at a special meeting of Town Council, which was attended by over 60 community members. Council unanimously approved a motion to adopt the Downtown Plan in principle by establishing a new committee that will explore opportunities to implement the Plan.
