His book, Titanic Victims in Halifax Graveyards addresses what happened after the ship sank, what happened to the victims floating in the ocean, and how Halifax responded. $4 non members, $2 members
The War of 1812 Castine Exhibition, when Nova Scotia owned Maine John Boileau, author and historian Sunday, April 1, 2:00pm John Boileau's interest in Canadian history has been instrumental in his writing career which began after his retirement from the Canadian army in 1999. During his 37-year career in the forces he served in Canada, Germany, the United States, Cyprus and the United Kingdom. He was Consulting Editor for A Century of Service: Canada's Armed Forces From the Boer War to East Timor, by Jim Lotz, published in 2000. His articles can be found in The Beaver, Legion Magazine, Saltscapes, the Halifax Sunday Herald and the Saint John Telegraph-Journal. He and his wife, Miriam, live on the shores of St Margaret's Bay, NS.
Royal Memorabelia Show and Tell Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22 In honour of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee, we are inviting the public to show off their 'Royal Family Memorabilia' at the museum on April 21 and April 22, from 1-5pm. Items should be brought to the Museum on April 20 after 1pm. We will have tables set up for you to lay out your treasures, and they will be monitored at all times throughout the weekend.
