2012/2013 Property Tax Exemption

 Your 2011 incomes incluses all income from all sources which includes non-taxable benefits such as works compensation benefits and OAS supplement.

The Policy states "it shall be the policy of the Town Council of the Town of Bridgewater to approve a low income tax exemption policy in the amount of the lesser of one-half of the current year's tax or the sum to the owners of property assessed in their name and occupied by the ratepayer as their principal residence; and that their income (including the income of all other members of teh same family residing in the same household) from all sources (excluding any allowance paid pursuant to the War Veteran's Allowance Act (Canada) or pension paid pursuant to the Pension Act (Canada). The Pension Act (Canada) is NOT the Canada Pension Plan.
