Architecture:

  • This 2 ½ storey, shingle clad, gable roofed house has interesting elements of detail on its corner boards, which have raised vertical moldings and molded capitals, and on its gable end, which has decorative shingles at the attic level. The house is fairly intact architecturally except for an additional front door resulting from apartment conversion.

History:

  • This house is always referred to as the Clattenburg house. The first owner was Charles Clattenburg, a blacksmith.
