Architecture:

• The gambrel roof makes this house rather unique in the town but otherwise the house is rather simple with little ornamentation. 

History:

• William Ross originally owned much of the land in this area of town. In 1914, Robert Lamb, a noted building contractor bought this lot, which originally included the adjacent lot at #9 George Street from the heirs of William Ross. It appears that over the next year, Lamb built two houses, this and #9 George Street, on the original lot and then sold each house as a separate lot. William and Eva Simmons made this a home from 1919 to 1952. William was a Canadian National Railway employee.
