Some interesting features of this building include the galvanized iron cornice, brick dentil moulding, and Blue Ohio sandstone highlighting the brick façade. There is a pilaster surrounding the entry, stone keys over the windows, a stone threshold, and a lower level band of stone running across the lower window level.
The Canadian Bank of Commerce bought this lot in 1919 and built this building circa 1922. In 1972, CIBC sold the building and the Town of Bridgewater opened up its public library from 1984 to 2013.
