Town Energy Efforts Recognized by Minister and UNSM

On March 25, 2011, the Honorable Sterling Belliveau, Nova Scotia Minister of Environment, and UNSM President Billy Joe MacLean, held a press conference in Bridgewater to recognize our Town's efforts in energy management.

The Minister (right in photo) spoke of the leadership Bridgewater had taken in reducing its environmental footprint and improving the sustainability of its operations.  Mr. MacLean (left in photo) announced the launch of a new website dedicated to recognizing the efforts that municipalities in Nova Scotia are taking to improve their energy performance and sustainability.  The new Dollars and Sense website is hosted on UNSM's own website, and prominently features Bridgewater as a leader in energy management.

The Town of Bridgewater acknowledges the support it has received from the Province of Nova Scotia, and from the UNSM, for its energy efficiency and solar energy programs.
