Active Transportation Plan Renewal

Bridgewater has had an Active Transportation (AT) Plan since 2008, which has helped guide policy, programming and infrastructure changes. It’s time for an update and this year Bridgewater is working with ZZap Consulting Inc. to create a plan renewal to reflect current practices and to support the Town’s goals.

Community engagement is an important component to the plan, to make sure it reflects the community’s needs. There are multiple opportunities to participate, including an entire consultation week with events from June 18th to 21st. The schedule can be found below.

There is a community survey to hear how the community travels now and how the Town can improve people’s active transportation experience. There is also an interactive mapping tool where the public can place points on a map with suggestions, barriers to active transportation, and places that are working well. You can also “like” comments that other people have made.

The survey can be found by clicking here.

The engagement tool can be found here.
