ABOUT THE ELECTION
The next Municipal Election in Nova Scotia will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
ADVANCED POLLING
If you are voting by phone or online, you may do so at any time beginning on Thursday, October 10, 2024, through Friday, October 18, 2024.If you require assistance or wish to vote at the Returning Office during the Advanced Polling period, you may come to 60 Pleasant Street (Town Hall) on October 10, 11, or 14 through 18, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to vote.
ORDINARY POLLING (ELECTION) DAY
On Saturday, October 19, you may vote by phone or online from a location of your choosing or, if you require assistance to vote, you may come to the Returning Office, located at 60 Pleasant Street (Town Hall) in Bridgewater, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.All polls close at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
KEY DATES
Bridgewater Candidate Info Session -- Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall (60 Pleasant Street). For more information, click here.
Nomination Days -- August 29, 30, September 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10. The final day to submit your Nomination Package if you wish to run for Town Council/Mayor is Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Final Day for Revisions to the List of Electors (voters) -- Monday, October 7.
Advanced Polling Period -- Thursday, October 10, to Friday, October 18 (by phone or online), or October 10, 11, and 14 to 18 in person at the Returning Office (located at 60 Pleasant Street in Bridgewater).
Ordinary Polling (Election) Day -- Saturday, October 19. For those who wish to vote at the Returning Office, the office will be open at 60 Pleasant Street in Bridgewater from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. All polls close at 7 p.m.
Last day to request a recount -- Tuesday, October 29.
