The Growing Green Festival takes place in Bridgewater and at partner venues in Lunenburg County.  Unless otherwise noted, all activities in the schedule below take place on King Street in Bridgewater.  

 

8:00 am King Street between Empire and Dominion is closed to vehicle traffic (except Festival business)

 

9:00 am Bridgewater Farmers' Market opens

 

10:00 am Festival exhibits and activities open to the public.

               The River Stage music concert begins, featuring Art Cole & John Barr, Hank Middleton & Collage, The Big Band Refugees, and The Worry Birds. 

               First sustainability tour departs from Hodge Podge Community Garden. 

 

11:00 am Blockhouse School Project CommuniTEA & Open House opens

 

2:00 pm First sustainability tour returns to Hodge Podge Community Garden and second tour departs

 

3:00 pm Festival exhibits and activities close on King Street; Bridgewater Farmers' Market ends

 

4:00 pm  Blockhouse School Project CommuniTEA & Open House ends

 

5:00 pm King Street between Empire and Dominion re-opens to vehicle traffic and second sustainability tour returns to Hodge Podge Community Garden

 

5:15 pm  Bus shuttle between Zeller's parking lot and Wile's Lake Farm Market begins

 

6:00 pm Close to Home Local Food Pig Roast begins at Wile's Lake Farm Market

 

9:00 pm Shuttle between Wile's Lake Farm Market and Zeller's parking lot ends
