156 Aberdeen

Address: 156 Aberdeen Rd.

Heritage Status: None
Built: 1915 Builder/Architect: Dean Beck
Style: Four Square

  • Reminiscent of the "Four Square" tradition, this house has a steeply pitched hipped roof, prominent cornice and large hip-roofed dormers. Also of note on the building are the bay windows, and a veranda with its turned columns, posts and railings. The upstairs balcony, with turned posts and railings, makes the second storey bays seem even more prominent.

  • This house was built in 1915, probably by Dean Beck who was a carpenter. The garage that sits behind the house is actually part of another piece of property purchased in the late 1950's.
