Architecture:

 This house has an unusual gambrel roof with a hipped roof veranda. A curiously shaped attic window features an unusual ornamental keystone incorporated into its trim. Below, a bay window is built into the veranda on the gable end of the home. Only recently a bay window shape was carried down into the porch and created a front entryway by replacing the middle window with a door.

History:

       Ada Hunter purchased the lot for $150 in 1903.  Since it was inexpensive, it is safe to assume that the house was not yet built on the lot.  Ada Hunter was the sister-in-law of Robert Hunter, who owned and operated the Bridgewater Foundry (on Victoria Road) from about 1870 until 1900.
