51_Dufferin

Address: 51 Dufferin St.

Heritage Status: None
Built: 1875 Builder/Architect: Unknown
Style: Greek Revival

Architecture:

  • The building might be said to approach the Greek Revival in style because of the double pillars which support the portico roof and the transom and side lights around the two main doorways. The home has lost most of its character defining elements as a result of extensive renovations and vinyl siding installation.

History:

  • This house was known as "Brookside" and was the residence of Joseph Whitford, postmaster.
