Architecture:

  • This is a truncated hip roof house with hipped gable dormers. The original window and door trim has been obscured by modern replacement siding. The wide veranda unites the main house with the wing on the side.

History:

  • Ariel Feindel, a liveryman, owned the house next door on each side of this one. He died in 1898 and passed the property on to his wife Sophia, for whom it is presumed this house was built a few years later. The house was sold to Vance Saunders in 1942 by Robert Feindel.
