Architecture: 

The original structure was typical of early-settler housing. Rectangular, with its windows set tightly to its eaves, the home still features its original cladding, front door, foundation, and rear door.

 

History: 

This is the oldest standing home in Bridgewater. Notable owners include, Dr. John Bolman (a surgeon and early settler of Lunenburg), Starratt and Morse (first merchants of Bridgewater), and the Ramey family, beginning with Ben and Stephen Ramey. Stephen Ramey was a well-known house painter.
