Architecture:

  • Small, compact gabled house with Greek Revival elements
  • Gabled end, facing street, has projecting window and door bays, each trimmed by moulded panels and truncated hipped roofs
  • Each side of house has two storey bays, each with hipped, gabled roofs
  • Windows retain prominent, moulded goods, and looks quiet unaltered from original state
  • Unfortunately re-covered in vinyl siding

 

History:

  • Built c. 1903 by Captain Albert Mailman, mariner and merchant (as per Mrs. Karl Mailman)
  • Karl Mailman (owned 1923-1935, after Albert) was locomotive engineer
