This home features large two-storey bay windows flanking the central doorway and pedimented dormer. A large ell stands at the rear. 

 

History: 

This home was built for Robert Dawson, a successful merchant. Robert Dawson Jr. was the next to own the home and run the family business, and he was also the town mayor from 1910 to 1914. The third generation, Robert MacGregor Dawson, was a professor of science who published a biography of William Lyon MacKenzie King. The fourth generation to own the house was Robert MacGregor Dawson Jr., professor of Medieval English at Dalhousie University.
