Address: 712 LaHave St.
|
Heritage Status: None |
Built: c.1867-1882 |
Builder/Architect: Benjamin Zwicker |
Style: Maritime Vernacular |
Architecture:
- This gable roofed house is clapboarded and trimmed with narrow, plain corner boards along the North end, but has been sided along the south east end of the house as well as the dormer. It also has a pedimented, extended dormer in the centre, main façade.
|
History:
- Benjamin Zwicker purchased this lot for $200 in 1867 from Frederick Waterman and sold it in 1882 for $1000, a price high enough to indicate that the house was on the lot. This is further confirmed by a house identified as "B. Zwicker" on this location on the A. F. Church Map (c.1883).
