BRIDGEWATER TOWN COUNCIL RESUMES IN-PERSON REGULAR MEETINGS MONDAY NIGHT
Last week, the Province of Nova Scotia relaxed COVID-19 protocols to allow municipal councils to once again meet in person.
The Town of Bridgewater will, therefore, resume in-person regular meetings of Town Council in Council Chambers at Town Hall beginning with the next regular meeting on Monday, August 10.
An agenda package for that meeting can be found here: https://www.bridgewater.ca/document-library/council-agendas-and-minutes/council-agendas/2020-council-agendas/1992-august-10-2020-regular-meeting-of-town-council/file
PLEASE NOTE THAT COVID-19 PROTOCOLS WILL REMAIN IN PLACE AS FOLLOWS:
▪All attendees (Council, staff, members of the public) will be required to wear a non-medical mask at all times when moving about within Town Hall.
▪Once attendees are seated in Council Chambers in accordance with six feet of physical/social distancing from others present, attendees may remove masks if they desire to do so.
▪Total attendance (including Council, staff, and the public) in Council Chambers for each meeting will be limited to a maximum of 18 people.
▪Public attendance will be limited to a maximum of five members of the public.
▪Any member of the public wishing to attend a Town Council meeting MUST pre-register with Town Hall by phoning 902-541-4385. This will allow the Town to collect contact-tracing information in the event of a potential exposure to COVID-19.
▪You will be asked to complete a COVID-19 health screening during pre-registration. Priority for public attendance will be given to delegations.
REMINDER: Regular meetings of Bridgewater Town Council will continue to be live-streamed via the Town of Bridgewater Facebook page (@BridgewaterNS), allowing the public to watch the proceedings of each meeting from the comfort and safety of home.
