The Bridgewater Shines Festive Season officially arrives on Saturday, November 26, 2022, with the return of the annual Christmas on the LaHave Parade of Lights, proudly presented by Rhyno’s Ltd. And Nature’s Reflections Landscaping.

This year’s parade will following the tradition route and will begin at 6 p.m. at the NSCC Lunenburg Campus on High Street, turning right on to Empire, then right on to King Street, and concluding at the intersection of King and Dufferin. Floats letting kids off may do so in the King Street block between Dufferin and Maple, but floats must exit the area immediately once any passengers getting off have departed.

This year’s amazing Santa Claus float, made possible by Rhyno’s and Nature’s Reflections Landscaping, promises to be better than ever! Santa Claus himself will be on board and will be downtown for the fireworks at the conclusion of the parade – made possible by the members of the Bridgewater Fire Department and other local supporting firefighting agencies.

Please note that fireworks are weather dependent. If the fireworks cannot take place, fire department officials will work to plan an alternate date/time.

Street closures along the parade route will begin at approximately 5 p.m. and will be phased in. Please drive with extra caution in the parade area and on connecting side streets.

We’re excited to announce that Danny Banfield and Steve Dicks will be providing music on King Street and Empire Street prior to the start of the parade. Look for them to be out and about on foot among the crowd.

Canada Post will be collecting letters to Santa during the parade and will ensure delivery to the North Pole well before Christmas. They’ll be out ahead of the parade, so keep an eye out for them!

This year’s honourary parade marshal will be Hudson Fleck.

In addition to Rhyno’s Ltd. and Nature’s Reflections Landscaping, the Town of Bridgewater also wishes to extend a warm thanks to supporting corporate partners, including CKBW and Country 100.7, Saunders Motors, and Gow’s Home Hardware.
