TOB Christmas on the LaHave 2024 Save the date initial banner

Bridgewater's annual Christmas on the LaHave officialy kicks off with our Parade of Lights, this year proudly presented by one of greatest community partners and champions, Michelin, with support from the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg.

The 2025 Parade will take place on Saturday November 29th, starting at 6:00 PM from the Nova Scotia Community College Lunenburg Campus on High Street, continue down Empire Street and along King Street, ending at Dufferin Street. 

Following the Parade, at approximately 7:15 PM join us for a spectacular FIREWORKS display over the LaHave, presented by the Bridgewater Fire Department.

Parade Highlights:
- Honourary Parade Marshalls: 2025 NS 55+ Games Medalists
- Letters for Santa will be collected
- Donations/contributions for the Food Bank will be collected
- Performace by the Bridgewater Fire Department Band
- The Bridgewater Farmers' Market will have a Pop-Up Shop at 123 Empire Street 
- Sensory Friendly Area will be between NSCC on High Street to Emplire Street intersection

PARADE ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE
The Christmas on the LaHave Parade of Lights will take place on Saturday, November 29, beginning at 6 p.m. Weather permitting, the parade will conclude with a fireworks display made possible by the Bridgewater Fire Department at approximately 7:15 p.m. - please note, the fireworks display will take place timed to the arrival of Santa in the downtown and may vary slightly depending on the pace of the parade.

If you or your business or organization are interested in entering a float in this year's parade, please review the full list of rules and regulations, then complete the application form at www.bridgewater.ca/parade and submit it prior to end of day on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

SENSORY FRIENDLY ZONE
We are excited to continue our Sensory Friendly Zone as a part of the parade route this year, from the NSCC along High Street to the upper part of Empire Street. This zone is ideal for anyone of any age who wishes to take in the parade experience but has challenges with loud noises and flashing/strobing lights.
