Private Beds
Located in Aberdeen Green Park, 25 Elm Street. There are 20, 4’x8’ raised beds that are rented for each growing season by individuals, families, or organizations. This includes five accessible beds; two beds are 3 ft tall and three are 2 ft tall. Everyone is welcome to join the garden, beds are filled on a first come first served basis and a waiting list is maintained year-round. Members of the public are asked to respect that all 4’x8’ beds are for private use and to refrain from harvesting from them.

Public Beds
Located in Aberdeen Green Park, 25 Elm Street. Outside the allotment garden’s boundary, there are clearly labeled community beds that are open for all members of the public and visitors to take care of and harvest from. These include the Community Vegetable Beds and the Community Culinary Herb Beds. The boundary around the Hodge Podge Garden also includes berry bushes, and table grapes, for all to enjoy. Pollinator Garden
Located in Aberdeen Green Park, 25 Elm Street. Bridgewater Community Gardens’ first Pollinator Garden was started as a Wildflower Meadow in 2014 and has grown thanks to the support of community volunteers, businesses, and non-profit organizations. Pollinators include native bumble bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and of course honeybees! All pollinators are suffering from declining habitat and other stresses including climate change. Bridgewater Community Gardens is working to support pollinators with beautiful gardens of nectar rich flowers. The Garden is maintained and cared for by volunteers, to get involved with the Pollinator Garden Project and learn more, email:
Foodscapes Project
Located throughout Bridgewater’s many town parks. The Foodscapes Project aims to showcase the range of perennial food crops that are possible to grow in our climate, educate the public on the benefits and beauty of edible landscaping, and to provide harvests of healthy spray-free fruits, berries, and nuts for town residents and visitors.
Look for over 100 plantings at:
- Aberdeen Green
- Shipyard’s Landing
- Woodland Gardens
- Brookside Cemetery
