On August 19, 2020, at approximately 3 a.m., Bridgewater Police Service officers responded to multiple third-party complaints of an altercation on Pleasant Street, Bridgewater.
When police arrived at the scene they located a male laying on the sidewalk bleeding. The male was rendered first aid then taken to South Shore Regional Hospital by EHS with serious injuries. The male victim, in his twenties, remains in hospital. The injuries are consistent with being stabbed with an edged weapon. No weapon was recovered at scene. Information is limited due to the victim's injuries and necessary medical treatment.
Based on investigative details Police believe that there were additional witnesses to this altercation and that the involved parties were known to each other.
