If you receive a letter about tree sampling in Bridgewater

Homeowners in certain parts of Bridgewater may receive a letter from NSCC student Grant Penney regarding tree sampling for the emerald ash borer (a jewel beetle native to north-eastern Asia) in Bridgewater as part of his Natural Resources Environmental Technologies program. He is looking to collect a total of 100 samples from 50 trees (two per tree).

The Town of Bridgewater is aware of the initiative, and we encourage homeowners who receive a letter about the project to touch base with the student directly for additional details about what the sampling involves and what the project seeks to accomplish. Participation in the program is voluntary and there is no obligation for property owners who are contacted to participate.
