Notice of Amendments to Building Code Act - NS Growth & Development

Please be advised that amendments to the Nova Scotia Building Code Regulations pursuant to the Building Code Act, R.S.N.S., 1989, Chapter 46, will come into effect on or about February 1, 2026. The proposed amendments will name evaluation services that can be relied on by Building Officials to assess new and innovative products, materials and systems for compliance to the National Building Code. Corrections have also been made to cross references and other editorial items.  This advisory will be advertised in the Royal Gazette Part 1 in Nova Scotia.
