The Town of Bridgewater is currently seeking enthusiastic, interested residents to serve on a few of the Town’s volunteer committees of Council due to recent vacancies. These committees provide a vital service to Council by providing advice and/or recommendations on important community issues which help to shape the Town. The Town is committed to diversity and inclusion and encourage all interested residents to apply. We are currently recruiting members for the following committees:
i) Arts, Culture & Museums Advisory Committee (ACMAC)
- This Committee advises Council on policies, programs, and strategic planning related to arts, culture, and museums.
- The Committee’s mandate includes storytelling, sponsorships, equity and inclusion efforts, decolonization, and cultural programming.

ii) Parks, Recreation & Active Transportation Advisory Committee (PRAT)
- This Committee promotes healthy living and to enhance the quality of live for everyone in the Town by providing access to a wide range of recreational and active living opportunities.
- The Committee helps establish and support partnerships with community organizations and to promote projects and programs designed to enhance active transportation.

iii) Heritage Advisory Committee (HAC)
- The Committee advises Council on issues related to the designation of buildings, streetscapes, and areas within Town as Heritage Properties.
- The Committee also advises on applications to substantially alter or demolition a Heritage Property.
