Notice of Public Hearing – Sale of Town Owned Land for Less than Market Value

Bridgewater Town Council is considering the sale of a portion of Town owned land, located along York Street, to the South Shore Transition Housing Association (SSTHA) for less than market value. The SSTHA is looking to expand housing options within the Town of Bridgewater for women and their families impacted by gender-based violence, and has asked Council to consider providing the land for the value of one-dollar ($1).

A Public Hearing will be held by Council at 6:00 p.m. on November 9, 2026 in Council Chambers at Town Hall (60 Pleasant St, Bridgewater), at which time oral presentations and written submissions concerning the proposed sale of a portion of Town owned land for less than market value will be discussed and considered. This is the final opportunity for public input.
