Public Hearing -- Proposed Amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law for Flood Risk Mitigation

Bridgewater Town Council is considering amending the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law regarding flood risk and development along the LaHave River. These amendments would modify the location of the LaHave River Development Agreement Area, add policy that new development must follow, and create a minimum building elevation for new development along the river.

A Public Hearing will be held by Council at 6:00PM on April 14, 2025, in Council Chambers at Town Hall (60 Pleasant St, Bridgewater), at which time oral presentations and written submissions concerning the proposed amendments will be considered. This is the final opportunity for public input.
