Municipal Planning Strategy Amendment for the Active Transportation Plan (2020)

The Bridgewater Active Transportation (AT) Plan was endorsed by Council in December 2020. The AT Plan updates the Town’s AT specific goals, objectives, and actions for implementing low-cost high-impact solutions – largely focusing on improving the overall non-motorized transportation connectivity within the Town and designing infrastructure for all ages and abilities. Accordingly, an application has been brought forward by staff to amend the Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS) to reflect the new AT Plan as per Policy IM-1(a).

If approved, map and text amendments will be made to the MPS to reflect the Town of Bridgewater’s updated strategic priorities regarding active transportation.

A public participation meeting has been scheduled for July 21, 2021. Further revisions to the proposed amendment may be considered based on public feedback.
