An application was received on November 29, 2021, by Michelin North America (Canada) Inc for a development agreement to construct a 3200m2 manufacturing facility addition at 233 Logan Road, PID#60023454 ("the subject propert"). The subject property is in the Industrial (M1) Zone. In the MI Zone, additions in excess of 2,323m2 (25,005ft2) to existing developments permitted as-of-right, in accordance with Policy MDA1, require a development agreement.

A Public Hearing was held on April 11th, 2022 in Council Chambers at Town Hall (60 Pleasant Street, Bridgewater). The result of the Public Hearing was the approval by Council of a motion that gave second and final consideration of a Development Agreement to permit a 3200m2 addition to the existing manufacturing facility at 233 Logan Road.

Passed Resolution 22-087:
That Council for the Town of Bridgewater give second and final consideration to the proposed development agreement and enter into the development agreement regarding the property located at 233 Logan Road in a manner similar to the draft development agreement dated March 14, 2022, as shown in Appendix A of Document 21-182B, and that the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer are hereby authorized to execute the agreement only within the timeframe described in the development agreement. Should the document not be signed within the time frame described in the development agreement, Council shall consider any request to sign the development agreement as a new application and follow the entire process required by the Municipal Government Act.
