Application Overview - Completed
For the past several years, the Town of Bridgewater has been working with the Province of Nova Scotia toward the completion of the new Exit 12A interchange. This major project has opened up more than 125 acres of Town-owned land for future development.
With the interchange now open, we’re now entering the next phase — planning what kind of businesses and industries will be possible in this area.
To do that, the Town needs to update the Bridgewater’s Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law to reflect the types of development Council and our community want to attract.
Proposed amendments will be focused on two key zones:
- Highway Commercial (C9) – for retail, service, and travel-oriented businesses
- Light Industrial (M2) – for industrial and business uses
